AILA ("we", "the App") respects your privacy. This document explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. By using AILA you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service:
• Account: email, Apple ID, Google ID, or phone number (for legacy users).
• Profile: nickname, avatar, height, weight, MBTI, birthday, zodiac, skin tone, clothing size — all optional and editable by you.
• User content: photos you upload (selfie, wardrobe items, reference images) and the AI-generated looks created from them.
• Usage data: in-app actions, feature usage, device language and locale.
• Diagnostic data: crash reports and error logs without personal identifiers.
Your data is used to:
• Generate AI styling looks tailored to you.
• Build and improve your aesthetic memory profile.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Diagnose technical issues and improve the App.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
AILA's AI features rely on a third-party AI provider. We currently use Google's Gemini API via Vertex AI Express (asia-southeast1 / Singapore region) to generate looks and analyze images. When you generate a look, the following data is sent per request:
• Image URLs for your selfie, wardrobe items, and any reference image you upload.
• Your typed or transcribed text prompt.
• Profile DNA tags (skin undertone hint, body geometry hint, MBTI, color palette).
We do NOT send: email address, Apple ID, Google ID, phone number, payment information, device identifiers, or any data belonging to other users. The data is used only to fulfill your request — it is not used to train public or foundation models. Generated images are stored on Alibaba Cloud OSS (Singapore region). Account and profile data are stored on Alibaba Cloud RDS in the same region.
Because some users have asked, here is exactly how AILA handles your face data:
• What we collect: a single user-uploaded selfie taken or picked at onboarding (optional), plus any optional re-uploads you do later in Profile.
• What we use it for: (a) generating a stylized "digital twin" avatar that represents you in your AI-generated looks; (b) deriving aesthetic DNA tags (skin undertone hint, body geometry hint, color palette) used solely to personalize styling suggestions for you.
• What we do NOT do: face recognition, biometric authentication, identity verification, ad targeting, or training any public or foundation model.
• Who we share it with: Google Gemini API (Vertex AI Express, asia-southeast1) for image analysis and generation. We do not share with any other party.
• Where it is stored: Alibaba Cloud OSS Singapore, in a private bucket, accessed via signed URLs only.
• How long we keep it: as long as your account is active. Within 30 days after you delete your account, your selfie and all derived data are permanently erased.
• Your rights: you can replace your selfie anytime via Profile → Edit, delete your account from Settings, or request a data export by emailing ztong.w@gmail.com.
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently erase your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. transaction records).
Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained beyond 30 days for analytics purposes; these can no longer be linked to you.
You can at any time:
• Access and review your data inside the App (Profile → Edit).
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account, which removes your data within 30 days.
• Export a copy of your data — email us at ztong.w@gmail.com.
• Withdraw consent for optional features.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe (usually under 30 days).
We use HTTPS for all data in transit, server-side access controls, and least-privilege principles. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach occurs we will notify affected users without undue delay.
AILA is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact ztong.w@gmail.com and we will delete the account.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Contact us at ztong.w@gmail.com for any privacy question or data request.
This policy is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
